Sólo vInimos a soñar
we come only to dream
(triptych)

Life and consciousness create the reality around us. Dreaming is an out-of-body experience; it is the world behind my world. Many religions began as a dream or nightmares. One of the most mysterious faculties of the human mind is to know that we're dreaming.

In this artwork, my dreams and fears as an immigrant and as a new Canadian are poured out. What this project express is somehow reflected in the following poem:

We only rise from sleep,
we come only to dream,
it is not true; it is not true,
that we come on earth to live.
As an herb in springtime,
so is our nature.
Our hearts give birth,
make sprout the flowers of our flesh.
Some open their corollas,
then they become dry.
